Lyrics
She was in the stars.
She was the universe to him.
With his hands,
He tried to reach for her.
If only he were an astronaut,
The stars would be closer.
She was in the stars.
She was the universe to him.
He bought a telescope,
He studied the theory of relativity.
She was in the stars.
She was the universe to him.
Time flew by,
It was as if she were light years away,
Every night,
He watched the stars.
For him,
She was in the stars.
She was the universe to him.
In the end,
He wrote the book about the universe,
About all that is of matter.
He created universal music,
He painted the universe on canvas,
He imagined eternity,
And the center of all being,
And finally,
He knew the New Jerusalem,
Where he saw her,
Where he found her.
For she was in the stars.
She was the universe to him.
Art Concept and Commentary
This song is about the mother of all Franconians. It's about Franconia.
She was the love of Charlemagne, justified and substantiated in the Lord's Prayer, in "Give us today our daily bread."
The Franconians are a people similar to the Jewish people.
They strive for more freedom.
The aim is to gain religious independence, their own capital and their own territory, so that they could and may truly be Franconian again.
The protagonist in the song dedicates his life to Franconia, seeking to make the New Jerusalem possible.
For more freedom, the Franconian people need their own independent heaven through which the Franconians can keep the good Franconian leaders in fond memory and in their hearts. It needs a heaven free of the Württemberg and Wittelsbach dynasties.
There are many kinds of heavens. There are higher heavens and lower heavens. In the Hebrew Bible, the “New Jerusalem” is a conception of heaven.
Through a heaven of their own, a people can keep the good leaders in their hearts and fond memories, those persons who have led exemplary and good lives. They become guiding figures in someone's life's journey and are important to a people's identity and self-image.
Crucial differences are how the corresponding heavens are designed. It is a matter of truth and belief systems as to how someone can be established in the hearts and fond memories of future generations. How “good” is someone's life and life's work?
The better someone is, the more likely they are to ascend to a higher and more universal heaven after they die. It is a matter of the soul.
The song describes someone who strives to set a good example with his life and life's work. This is to lay the foundation for the New Jerusalem of the Franconians.
